The pool water filtration is one of the most influential factors for the quality of your pool water. Very often cloudy waters result not from imbalances in the levels of chlorine and pH but from poor levels of filtration efficiency.
Another factor for filtration quality stems precisely from the quality of the means of filtration (sand, gravel, diatomite, etc…). Over the course of time, the means of filtration loses its properties and begins to allow large particles to pass through into the swimming pool and resulting in cloudy waters or cementation of the means within the filter. When the quality of the water is lower, generally high levels of hardness trigger cementation of the means in record times. This cementation may cause irreparable damage to the filter, leading to its substitution or replacement by other high cost pieces.
